At the heart of our extensive 1200-acre estate, surrounded by exquisite gardens, a group of magnificent Grade 1 listed buildings encircle a spectacular courtyard. This is Dartington Hall, the largest medieval house in the West of England — and possibly one of the most romantic wedding venues in the South West.

From romantic country walks through woodland and along the picturesque river Dart, to unforgettable receptions in our historic buildings and gardens, Dartington Hall is perhaps the loveliest of all Devon wedding venues and our experienced team are committed to ensuring that every aspect of your special day is one you will cherish forever

Dartington Hall is perfectly suited to honouring every aspect of your special day, allowing you to enjoy each moment amid glorious ancient buildings, surrounded by unparalleled natural beauty.

The Upper Gatehouse — this beautiful, newly-refurbished building is ideal for your civil wedding venue in Devon, with ample room for over 110 privileged guests to share in a very special occasion.

The ancient formal gardens — just across the medieval courtyard, these charming gardens provide a perfect location for wedding photographs, against the stunning backdrop of Dartington Hall and the picturesque South Devon countryside.

The Great Hall — an impressive Grade 1 listed building, with original leaded windows and oak hammer beams, this is a breathtaking venue for your wedding breakfast, where up to 150 guests can dine in style. For more intimate gatherings, a selection of elegant private dining rooms are available.

Historic accommodation — surrounding the central courtyard, 51 delightful, well-appointed bedrooms combine tradition and comfort. Incorporating delightful original features including beamed ceilings and 1920s tiled fired surrounds made by Bernard Leach, accommodation includes suites, single, twin and double rooms (many en suite).
