Just 2 miles from the magnificent Kings College which is situated next to the river Cam and surrounded by the world famous Cambridge colleges, Rectory Farm stands proudly surrounded by 50 acres of formal and informal gardens and fields. This combines the feel of countryside with the convenience of town. The pretty country house oozes splendour and style and is available for the sole use of you and your guests. Stay in the guest bedrooms and the house becomes a private haven for your wedding party. It remains a family home, with a sense of intimacy which cannot be reproduced in a hotel setting. We aim to provide a personal service, so your wedding day is given care and attention and you feel special. You have the freedom and flexibility to create your own dream wedding. The garden provides the perfect location for our traditional marquee and an elegant backdrop to your day.

Marquee
In a secluded, large garden, like a secret hide away, nestles a spacious and pretty marquee, which is surrounded by willows and mature trees. It is a romantic, traditional marquee and the long window look onto fields and the garden. The ideal setting for the perfect country wedding. Measuring 60ft x 40ft, the marquee is lined with ivory, with a full timber subfloor, onto which green carpet is laid. This along with ivory/cream chairs provides an elegant backdrop and enables you to decorate the marquee in your own personal style. There is a dance floor with atmospheric lighting.

Accommodation
Rectory farm, conveniently placed 1.5 miles from Cambridge city centre, is surrounded by 50 acres of private fields and woods. A few minutes by car, or a 40-minute walk, will take you to the magnificent Kings College, punting on the river and the delightful 'backs'.

The house is set in a beautiful, mature two-acre garden which leads to fields where horses and sheep graze. We endeavour to provide a friendly, high-quality bed and breakfast, and our guests have the use of a tennis court (all year) and heated outdoor pool (summer). A mere five-minute walk is the Madingley Park & Ride which has buses every 10 minutes to Cambridge city centre.
